EQUINE VETERINARY PHYSIOTHERAPY

Veterinary physiotherapy aims to improve mobility, help to reduce pain, improve recovery and prevent injury or recurrence of injury in horses.

Suitable for competition horses to happy hackers and retired horses, veterinary physiotherapy benefits a range of horses.

Lisa can come to your yard or you are welcome to bring your horse to Meersbrook HQ for treatments.

EQUINE REHABILITATION LIVERY

Equine rehabilitation livery at Meersbrook Therapy is bespoke to each horse, offering a peaceful stay and optimum time and attention given to each horse.

With a small separate yard in a relaxed and quiet environment, rehabilitation combines veterinary physiotherapy, equine massage therapy, stable rest and groundwork to correctly work the horse.

Short stays or long term rehabilitation, Meersbrook Therapy will work cohesively with Vets, farriers and other professionals to ensure the highest quality of care is given to your horse.

Laminitis and Equine Metabolic Syndrome Rehabilitation

Meersbrook therapy offers a bespoke rehabilitation package for horses with laminitis and equine metabolic syndrome.  With stables fully rubber matted throughout, bedded with shavings.  Hay can be steamed and/or soaked to help reduced the sugar content as well as the dust particles to benefit horses that spend more time within a stable environment.

Lisa is a qualified equine physiotherapist so will look at the effects these conditions have on the horse and will discuss treatment options appropriately.  Focusing on the impact stabled horses have on the musculoskeletal system, a bespoke rehab plan is drawn up to allow for a 'return to work' programme can be followed.  The first goal would be to reduced pain and inflammation, moving on to diet and weight control.

Various packages are available for you, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
